What Is Life Coaching?
“Life Coaching is quite simply, two people sitting down together, and having a conversation. This can be done in person, on the phone, or on a virtual platform like skype. As a coach, I hold the space and ask questions, listen deeply and assist in productive processing. My clients often don’t create the time within their everyday lives to sit down and think about where they want to go. Life Coaching provides an excellent opportunity to be intentional, to think about what you want, and why. Without the distractions of everyday life, clients find clarity. With clarity and discernment, comes power. It’s quite exciting to see a client light up when the vision becomes clear, and at that point, they become unstoppable. When a client creates a new vision in life, one where they can really see themselves doing what they truly desire, then they can achieve it.”

“After working with Carly I have gained a lot clarity and identified some tangible/attainable life goals. She also has made me realize that I have the power, confidence, and wisdom to pursue those goals. It has been a very empowering experience that has created a lot of movement in my life both internally and externally!! For example, when I started working with her 4 months ago, one of my goals was to find a new job, and I just got that new job! Thank you Carly!”
“Carly Kear is the reason why I made a vision board. She showed all of us, here’s why it helps, even if you don’t believe it will help, it’s very inspirational. You wake up looking at your goals in life. So, I went home, did it, got a printer and the first thing I put up was Grammys, and #1 song in the world, 100 charts, I put everything up there. And in that one year, I pretty much achieved all those pictures.”
“When I initially reached out to Carly, my goal was to get a clearer understanding of ‘what I’m supposed to do’ with my life. Not only did she succeed with helping me ‘define’ that early on in our sessions, she helped me to explore and understand my true passion and values. Carly’s coaching was not only transformative; I genuinely believe it helped me find a truer version of myself.”
“Carly’s has the ability to listen deeply and get to the heart of the matter, and to traverse through whatever is blocking my ability to clearly see my goals. Through her ability to navigate around one’s road blocks, either with simple exercises, conversation or visualization, I always leave feeling lighter, and surer of my own gifts and talents…knowing that it’s ok to live life intentionally. I know that ability and strength are already inside me, but sometimes I need help to lift the veil that everyday life can throw on my hopes and dreams. Thankfully Carly is there to do just that.”
“Carly has been coaching me during one of the biggest transitions of my life. I recently had our first child and struggled with a lot of postpartum anxiety. She has walked along a confusing road with me and I have a better understanding of how to look forward instead of looking back while simply taking it one day at a time. I’ve never been more open-minded than I am right now and I’ve also learned better ways to set some realistic goals for myself! I am grateful for this form of processing.”
Can anyone be coached?
Yes! Carly has coached clients of all ages and backgrounds. You need only be willing and ready to look to the future, dream and imagine.
What is the difference between life coaching and therapy?
Coaching is future focused on positive change in your life. The coach and client keep their attention on what is ahead, and how to enhance life. Therapy differs from coaching in that it looks backwards, to help clients work through past events. Coaching looks to create positive future events.
What is a session like?
When the session takes place, Carly and her client will sit down in a quiet room, away from family members, pets and other distractions. Together, they’ll process through a series of questions, often using tools and techniques to eliminate distractions, and increase awareness and clarity. Sessions can span a wide range of emotions, and all are accepted in the safe and confidential place where the client can really explore and be productive.
Do we need to have sessions in person?
No. Coaching can happen in person, on the phone or skype if the client would prefer to video chat with Carly.
